Mexar join consortium for development of anti-microbial textile treatments

Mexar is delighted to announce its successful inclusion in the consortium group aimed at developing anti-microbial textile inks and treatments for the healthcare sector.

The so-called 'ACTIN' project is jointly funded between the UK and Mexican governments through Innovate UK.

“Mexar is extremely happy to be included in this fascinating area of technical textiles. Mexar’s involvement will be in the formulation of novel inkjet inks including nano-particles that have inherent anti-microbial properties,” explains Roger Tirrell, Commercial Director of Mexar. “We look forward to working on this project for the next two years and hope that it leads to a significant reduction in the spread of super bugs within the healthcare sector.”
